Critical Works on Stansislaw Lem
Davis, J. Madison, Stanislaw Lem.
Mercer Island, Starmont House, 1990 (Starmont Reader's Guide #32).
The best general work on Lem in English, with a chapter devoted to each of the major novels and story-cycles.
Swirski, Peter, A Stanislaw Lem Reader.
Evanston: Northwestern University Press, 1997.
The title is misleading; this book contains two interesting interviews with Lem (conducted by Swirski), as well as an essay by Lem discussing which aspects of his futurological work in the 60's seem to be coming true and which were on the wrong track. A good, up-to-date bibliography.
Ziegfield, Richard E., Stanislaw Lem.
New York: Ungar, 1985.
Contains a useful biographical sketch in the first chapter.
